But by the way, who are the Paddies?
The Paddies are a group of friends who created their own rugby team in 2024, in Levallois in the Hauts-de-Seine region (92). A passionate, close-knit crew, always ready for new challenges.

The Paddies x ECC
Last weekend, they organized an event in support of the Earth Citizen Club (ECC). Moved by the association’s values and actions, the Paddies decided to set up a raffle to raise awareness among as many people as possible and rally support around this great cause.
A friendly match to start the day
To kick off the event, two teams—RugbyQ and the Rubygnoles—faced each other in a friendly match. More than 30 players took part, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that was perfect for selling the first tickets.
The goal: to share a good moment together and lay the foundation for a future charitable tradition.

Evening at The Cluricaune pub for the draw
At the end of the day, everyone headed to The Cluricaune, an Irish pub in Levallois and partner of the event. The venue welcomed participants and offered several prizes. The raffle draw took place just before the French national team’s match, in a cheerful and festive atmosphere.
Prizes everyone wanted
Among the many prizes to be won, the most anticipated was a jersey from Section Paloise, signed by player Thomas Jolmès. The draw unfolded in good spirits, with plenty of laughter and applause.
€450 donated to Earth Citizen Club
In total, the event raised €450, which was entirely donated to Earth Citizen Club. This money will directly support the Joyland orphanage project, which the association has been helping since 2022, particularly with food needs.
Joyland aims to create a small bakery next to the orphanage to generate income, improve the children’s daily lives, and support their long-term autonomy. They are currently €1,500 short of completing this project, so the contribution raised thanks to the Paddies represents a significant step toward achieving this goal.

A big thank-you to them for this wonderful act of solidarity!
