Meet Kim, a socially conscious photographer

Some projects are born from a simple spark, others from a deep desire to give meaning to one’s work. For Kim, a passionate photographer, it’s a mix of both. Moved by the initiatives led by Earth Citizen Club, he chose to donate part of the profits from an exclusive photo series to support the association’s projects. A generous gesture that says a lot about the artist… and also about the man behind the lens. To better understand his journey, inspirations, and commitment, we asked him a few questions. This is his story.

Can you introduce yourself and explain how you became a photographer?

My name is Kim, and I’ve always been a big dreamer. At first, I took photos just for fun, trying to capture something beautiful… but very quickly, I realized that it wasn’t the most beautiful images I wanted to create, but the ones that would touch people and evoke emotions. Photography became a way for me to express what I carry inside, my dreams, my feelings, my stories. I experiment, I observe, I make mistakes and start again… always with the desire that each image speaks and resonates with those who look at it.

What inspires you the most in your daily work?

What inspires me the most is humanity: its strengths, its vulnerabilities, its contradictions.I’m fascinated by raw emotions—the ones we feel even before we can put them into words.I’m also inspired by nature, by atmospheres, light, and everything around us that silently tells a story.Often, it’s the little things—a gesture, a detail, a suspended moment—that trigger a photograph.

How would you describe your photographic style and what you aim to convey?

My style is intimate, emotional, and narrative.I don’t try to create the “most beautiful” image, but rather an image that makes people feel something, that truly resonates with the viewer.I want my images to create a connection, to tell a story or evoke an emotion, even a subtle one.If someone feels something while looking at my work, then I’ve achieved my goal.

The photo series connected to the association

Can you tell us about the series for which part of the profits is donated to Earth Citizen Club?

This series was born from a need to align my artistic work with my values. It consists of three photographs, each representing different aspects of nature and its emotions:

  • The mountain, imposing and majestic, symbolizing the strength and grandeur of nature.

  • The sunlit forest, filled with life, warmth, and hope.

  • The forest wrapped in mist, darker and more mysterious, reflecting the fragility and sometimes unsettling side of our environment.

Each image tells its own story, and together they aim to highlight the beauty, power, and fragility of nature.Part of the profits is donated to Earth Citizen Club because I wanted this series to go beyond the artistic realm and actively help protect what I love most in the world: nature and the causes that defend it.

What inspired this series? A story, a place, an emotion?

It’s a combination of all three. It began with an emotion—a sense of nostalgia for a simpler, more respectful relationship with nature. Then came a place, a space where light, earth, and silence seemed to be in conversation. And finally, a story: the story of our time, in which the ecological emergency challenges the way we exist in the world. This series is my sensitive, personal response to all of that.

What message do you hope to convey to the public through these images?

The message is simple: we are part of a whole, and that whole deserves our care.I hope my images awaken something gentle yet powerful—a reminder that beauty is never guaranteed and that it deserves to be protected.

Commitment and the choice of Earth Citizen Club

What made you want to get involved with an association?

I needed to feel that what I was doing had an impact beyond aesthetics.Creating images is good—but using them to support a cause greater than myself is even better. For me, commitment is a way to stay true to my convictions and to act in service of something meaningful.

Why did you specifically choose Earth Citizen Club?

I chose Earth Citizen Club because it spoke to me immediately, almost instinctively. For me, helping means helping life—nature, the planet, but also people who sometimes have very little and yet give so much. There is a simplicity and sincerity in what they do, a way of reaching out without judgment. This association offers direction, purpose, and guidance—something that deeply resonates with my values. It is essential for me to contribute, even in a humble way, to what moves me most: nature, humanity, and the fragile bond that connects us all.

What role do you think artists can play in raising environmental and social awareness?

Artists can open doors where traditional discourse no longer reaches. They can touch, move, and sometimes unsettle people. They can make visible what often remains abstract. For me, art is a way to create awareness and lasting emotions, and to invite people to think, to feel, and to act.

If you had one message for those who hesitate to get involved or support an association?

I would tell them that there is no such thing as a “small” commitment.Supporting a cause is already taking action. And it’s better to make an imperfect gesture than to remain still while waiting for the perfect one.We all have a role to play, and even the humblest action can have a real impact.

Through his work, Kim proves that a passion can become a true driver of solidarity. His commitment to Earth Citizen Club is a reminder that every action counts—and that art has the power to inspire and bring people together.
