A major milestone has just been reached: the roof of the Kombo maternity ward is now in place.
The next steps will involve installing the joinery and completing the painting. It’s safe to say that the mission is already a success!
Originally, our goal was simply to lay the foundations of this maternity ward. Today, a few months later, we can proudly say that in just a few weeks, the maternity ward will open its doors, finally providing dignified and appropriate conditions for bringing new life into the world.
A Project Benefiting Over 10,000 People
Located in Kombo, a strategically positioned village, this maternity ward will allow residents of surrounding villages easier access to essential maternal care. More than 10,000 people will benefit from this safe and indispensable facility.
A Collective Adventure
The project doesn’t stop there. Our climbers are preparing to begin their ascent on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
After this sporting challenge, they will visit the maternity ward to see the progress firsthand. They will proudly carry the colors of ECC as well as those of all our partners and sponsors.
Above all, this project is the result of a collective effort. Without the generosity of our donors, this maternity ward would not exist. It stands as a powerful symbol of what we can achieve together: turning a simple dream into a tangible place filled with hope and life.
We also extend our gratitude to Kihomi Safari, who oversees the smooth progress of the works, manages logistics, and provides invaluable support to our climbers.
