Recently, our association Earth Citizen Club had the pleasure of being invited on Divergence FM to present its story, actions, and upcoming projects through an interview with its president, Joyce Cousseins-Smith.
A human adventure above all
On the radio, Joyce reflects on the creation of the association in 2010, founded with a simple yet powerful desire: to take concrete action for communities in need. Fifteen years later, Earth Citizen Club has carried out more than 40 projects across around twenty villages worldwide.
A journey marked by commitment, solidarity, and a constant desire to create a lasting impact on the ground.
From high-level sport to social commitment
The interview also highlights Joyce’s journey as a former professional basketball player who competed at the highest level in Europe for nearly 20 years.
Today, that same energy drives the association’s projects: pushing boundaries, taking on challenges, and mobilizing people around essential causes.
Challenges that lead to real impact
Among the projects mentioned in the podcast is a particularly meaningful challenge: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, with a clear goal: raising funds to build a maternity center in the village of Kombo, Tanzania.
This type of initiative perfectly reflects the DNA of Earth Citizen Club: turning human adventures into concrete and meaningful actions for local communities.
Raising awareness and sharing knowledge
Beyond field projects, the association is also committed to raising awareness, especially among young people. As mentioned in the interview, ECC regularly works with schools and local organizations to share its core values:
solidarity
civic engagement
openness to the world
self-improvement and personal growth
A momentum that continues
This radio appearance is a great opportunity to raise awareness about our mission and continue bringing people together around our projects.
New challenges are already in preparation, always driven by the same ambition: to take action, build connections, and contribute, at our level, to a more supportive and united world.
